Affiliate disclosure

This site makes money from affiliate commissions. When you sign up for certain giving platforms through our links, the platform pays us a percentage of what you spend with them. It costs you nothing—the commission comes out of the platform’s side, not yours. This page explains exactly how that works, because a publication that compares platform fees for a living should be plain about its own.

How to spot an affiliate link

Every affiliate link on this site goes through a redirect path that starts with /go/—for example, generosity.co/go/donorbox. If a platform link routes through /go/, assume we have—or are pursuing—a paid relationship with that platform. We never disguise these as plain vendor links, and any page that contains one carries a disclosure notice above the first affiliate link.

Which relationships exist right now

As of July 2026, one relationship is confirmed and several are pending:

• Donorbox—confirmed. Donorbox pays us a share of referral fees for accounts that sign up through our links.
• Tithe.ly, Givebutter, Givelify, and Bloomerang—pending. We have applied to or are verifying the terms of these programs. Until each is confirmed, treat their /go/ links as affiliate links anyway; that is what they are intended to become.

We will update this page as relationships are confirmed, changed, or ended.

Commissions never change a recommendation

The clearest evidence we can offer: we recommend Zeffy—prominently, in the comparisons where it honestly fits—and Zeffy pays us nothing. It is genuinely free to nonprofits, which means there is no fee for a commission to come out of. A fee-comparison site that never recommends the free option is compromised, and readers counting every dollar are exactly the readers who would notice. Meanwhile Donorbox, the one platform that confirmedly pays us, is among the more expensive options in the category—and we say so in plain numbers everywhere its fees come up.

Recommendations on this site are decided by fee architecture, verified pricing, and fit for your organization. The affiliate relationship is settled afterward, or not at all.

How we verify the numbers

Every fee figure on this site comes from the vendor’s own pricing page or documentation—never from a competitor’s claim about them—and carries a dated verification stamp showing when we last checked it. Where we could not fully confirm a figure, the stamp says verify direct instead, and the surrounding text tells you to confirm with the vendor before you rely on it. Fees change; a number without a date is a guess.

If we got something wrong

Corrections to fee data are the most useful mail we get. Tell us and we will check the vendor’s documentation and update the figure—and its stamp.
